About Us

Rothwell Town Ladies FC are a direct result of a close season amalgamation of Kettering United Ladies and Rothwell Town Football Clubs in May 2006.

Rothwell Town Ladies FC will be made up of;
The Senior Team playing in the East Midlands Womens League Division 1 South.
The Under 16s, Under 14s, Under 13s and Under 12s, all of which will be playing 11 A Side football within the Weetabix Youth League.
The Under 11s, Under 10s Sky and Under 10s Navy will be playing 7 A Side, also within the Weetabix Youth League.
We also have an ever growing Cub Section made up of budding 5 - 7 yr olds.

The Senior Team, will from the start of the 2006/07 season be homed at Cecil Street, where they will play their home games and will move over to the new purpose built ground on its completion along with the mens section.


Kettering United's short history goes back only as far as 2002 when they were formed. In this short space of time, the club has enjoyed numerous success's, the latest being crowned Northants County Women's League Champions for the 2005/06 season after only one year in the league.

It is also a proud fact that Kettering United Ladies FC were the first female football club in the Kettering District to have been rewarded with the FA Charter Standard status. This demonstrates that the club work to a strict Code of Conduct with Policies and Procedures in place.
Having been rewarded with the second level, the CS Development Award, our next aim is for the Community Club Award, in conjunction with Rothwell Town FC, which will cement the fact that Rothwell Town are a Community Club for all.

There are exciting times ahead for everyone associated with Rothwell Town Football Club, so lets all move forward together.

As a club, we strongly believe in developing our senior players in management too. At present, 9 of our senior side are qualified coaches in addition to 6 who are qualified referees.
